- Trail Family Name: Las Tortugas 🐢 (formerly known as Joe and the ‘ginas)
- Hiking Together Since: Day 1 & 2
- Hobbies: going to dive bars, getting to camp early, and having family dinners

Indie 🤠
Likes: a good beer, touching all the plants on trail, and nerd candy
Dislikes: rolling her ankle, when non-trail-family pitches their tents too close, and thigh chafing
Really Good At: carrying enough food for 3x as many days as she needs, hiking without insoles in her shoes, and being excited for anything
Best QOTD: “Fuck this earthly vessel” -Indie on her body
Completed 454.5 miles with us and will be back to complete the trail at some point, that’s for sure! She’s also going to trail magic us at some point. We miss ya!!

Wildfoot 🐦
Likes: being ‘ultralight’ (we’re not), singing ironic by Alanis Morrisette in weird voices, and getting food all over her clothes in bear country
Dislikes: too many miles in a day, being cold, and downhills
Really Good At: contacting trail angels, blaming all farts on the altitude, having the most tangled earbuds, and being positive
Best QOTD: “Every song on the playlist was good. Then I was like, oh yeah, I made it” -Wildfoot

Fiber King 💩
Likes: his gigantic bottle of sriracha, cowboy camping, putting on a cooking show for fellow hikers, and making his homemade camp sandals
Dislikes: frogs, a lack of urgency, wind, and wearing his homemade camp sandals
Really Good At: cooking gourmet dinners in his pan, getting everyone excited for things, and eating all the food people can’t finish
Best QOTD: “Don’t be a nail, be a hammer” -Joe teaching us how to survive a mosh pit

Barb 🔆
Likes: listening to Harry Potter on audiobook, taking off her shoes at every opportunity, and eating kind of odd candy
Dislikes: peanut butter for lunch, cowboy camping, how unironic the song ironic by Alanis Morrisette is, and having to wear quasi (the rain poncho)
Really Good At: flossing every night, finding the most level tent spot, cheering everyone up, and going with the flow
Best QOTD: “It’s turning into a lord of the flies situation out here” -Barb when the water cache ran out
Completed the entire desert section (702 miles), then her plantar fasciitis got really angry. She’ll be back to “trail magic the shit out of us”, but we miss her so much!!

Star ⭐️
Likes: being at high altitudes, waking up early, taking too many photos because the view just keeps getting better, and getting to camp early
Dislikes: snakes, wet socks, and sunscreen that doesn’t rub in
Really Good At: planning on farout app, making sure everyone is hydrated, and getting all of the camp chores done before relaxing
Best QOTD: “It smells like we’re at a frat house” -Me on poodle dog bush smelling like weed

I’ve been reading these posts for weeks and the word awesome ~in the truest sense~ is what I can come up with to describe your adventure. I visited Camp River Glen last weekend and thought to myself “Wow Sol is really out here doing this thing. She’s my role model.” MWL

I enjoyed getting to know the Tramily, because it’s nice to put faces to the names. The quotes were especially fun to read and gave me a good chuckle. I’m looking forward to meeting the tramily soon. Keep on trekking and enjoying the journey. Love you bunches!

Ok I might have laughed at your original trail name more than I should…. So glad you have formed this tramily and can keep each other spirits up thru difficult situations. I am so proud of all of you. I will follow this post since it seems you update more frequently than FiberKing, (hint hint). Good luck and may the Sierras be kind. I will be seeing all of you soon, as you head my way.
